does anything get printed prior the lockup if you enable all of these:

# CONFIG_DEBUG_SPINLOCK_SLEEP is not set
# CONFIG_DEBUG_VM is not set
# CONFIG_DEBUG_LIST is not set
# CONFIG_FRAME_POINTER is not set
