Need pci=assign-busses for Acer Aspire 9410

From: Eric Colin de Verdiere
Date: Wed Feb 28 2007 - 17:41:23 EST

Hi,

dmesg on my Acer Aspire 9411 AWSMi says:

PCI: Bus #0b (-#0e) is hidden behind transparent bridge #0a (-#0a) (try
'pci=assign-busses')
Please report the result to linux-kernel to fix this permanently

The computer seems to work well with and without pci=assign-busses. (I had to pass combined_mode=libata as kernel option, for otherwise DMA does not work and the hard disk is terribly slow.)

I'm attaching dmesg output, without and with pci=assign-busses. Please ask me by e-mail if you need more informations.
