Have you messed around with /proc/sys/vm/vfs_cache_pressure?

Unfortunately that affects all three of: dcache, icache, and mbcache. 
Maybe we could split that sysctl in two (Andrew?), so that one sysctl 
affects dcache/icache and another affects mbcache.
