Linux 2.6.9-rc3 and the Cisco vpn client

Hello,
loading the cisco vpn client modules on 2.6.9-rc3 freezes my machine. Not that 
I care much now that I got a working alternative 
(http://www.unix-ag.uni-kl.de/~massar/vpnc/) but I'm posting it just in case 
anyone cares.
