It looks like the patch from Olaf Hering <olh@xxxxxxx>

causes the problem.

A patch from Andrea Arcangeli <andrea@xxxxxxxxxx>

corrects the problem.

It looks like the Linus tree only has Olaf's patch.
Andrew's tree (mm) has Andrea's patch.
