problem: 2.6.3 USB keyboard not always detected

Hi folks,

Most of the time, my Logitech USB Keyboard is not detected on boot.
(it's a network boot, and it does ALWAYS work for accessing BIOS and
PXEGRUB boot menu)
After the kernel is booted, I almost always get
hid: probe of 2-1:1.1 failed with error -5

unplugging and re-plugging the keyboard sometimes fixes the problem.
(doing it enough times ALWAYS gets it working, but it's
kind of annoying :-)

I didn't see that with 2.6.0-test2, which is the previous kernel I used on
that machine...

The kernel is compiled without module support, so maybe
something is not getting run in the right order during boot?
