2.6.2 hangs with usb flashdisk plugged

Hi folks,

Every time I plug my usb flashdisk (not sure what you native speakers
call it, it's a key-sized 128M usb storage device) into the system, the
kernel hangs immediately with no panic message, after spitting a few
lines like this:

hub 1-0:1.0 over-current change on port 4
hub 1-0:1.0 over-current change on port 6
hub 1-0:1.0 over-current change on port 4
hub 1-0:1.0 over-current change on port 6

It's absolutely reproduceable on 2.6.2, and here's some context info:

clay kapok:~ [1028]% uname -a

kapok:~ [10]# modprobe usbcore

kapok:~ [10]# modprobe ehci-hcd

hub 1-0:1.0: 6 ports detected
hub 1-0:1.0: over-current change on port 4
hub 1-0:1.0: over-current change on port 6

To this point, everything goes just fine. But, whenever I plug in my usb
flashdisk, the system completely freezes, and nothing responses but the
poweroff button.

I'm using a vanilla 2.6.2.

If additional information is needed to diagnose it, plz let me known.
