Oddness in "make rpm"

When I do an RPM make for a Pentium-II processor the result is labeled as 
i386 and put in the i386 directory. This obviously might be a Redhat 
thing, or an option I missed.

Just FYI, obviously I'll take a hint, but I have it on my list of things 
to fdo over the weekend if not.
