While trying to untar 2.6.1-rc1 my machine hung up. A dmesg gave me
this:

lspci gives me this:
02:04.0 SCSI storage controller: Adaptec AHA-3940U/UW/UWD / AIC-7882U
Flags: bus master, medium devsel, latency 64, IRQ 17
I/O ports at 2000 [disabled] [size=256]
Memory at ea000000 (32-bit, non-prefetchable) [size=4K]
Expansion ROM at <unassigned> [disabled] [size=64K]

The disk is a 36Gig Seagate.

Would this be a dying disk, dying scsi controller or just a bug?
:wq!
