Solved (was: [PROBLEM] 2.4.23-pre4 deadlocks while 2.4.22aa1 worksfine)

I'm unable to reproduce this problem under 2.4.23-pre4 with Andrea's patch 
from this e-mail thread:

I see it is already merged in 2.4.23-pre5. Hopefully -pre5 will be just fine.
