Hello!

I am new to this mailinglist, but I hope somebody can help me.
Sorry for asking any silly question.

I noticed files in /var/log/ksymoops
These files are always created, when I load a module or unload a module. It
does not depend on the module!

Here is an example:

20020306215447.ksyms
20020306215447.modules

I searched the file for error, or fail and found:

c01b4124 ide_error_R63d66c88
c01c4808 scsi_block_when_processing_errors_Re09bf912
c01f4684 pcmcia_report_error_Rb83ec557
c0209fd0 md_error_R178ca3b6

c0105ab0 __down_failed
c0105abc __down_failed_interruptible
c0105ac8 __down_failed_trylock
c0120cf8 fail_writepage_Rf0500e74
c024e9d0 rwsem_down_read_failed
c024eae8 rwsem_down_write_failed

All modules are installed and working:

lsmod:

Module Size Used by
reiserfs 145528 1
vfat 9352 0 (unused)
fat 29112 0 [vfat]
ppp_generic 17416 0 (unused)
slhc 4416 0 [ppp_generic]
lp 5300 0 (unused)
parport_pc 11124 2
parport 13856 2 [lp parport_pc]

Can anybody explain what happens, please?

Thank you very much!

Michael
