[patch] 'extreme' pagecache scalability, 2.4.10

i've attached the latest version of the pagecache scalability patch,
updated to 2.4.10. The patch, (original version written by David Miller,
current version maintained/fixed by me), splits up the pagecache_lock into
finegrained per-hashlist locks, and per-mapping (~per-inode) pagelist
locks. With this patch applied, bigger NUMA systems show much better
pagecache scalability - but bigger SMP systems benefit from it as well.

The patch can also be downloaded from, and future versions will be
available at:

(this version is lightly tested.)
