         After updating from kernel 2.4.9 to 2.4.10 I get the following
     error after booting:

My gcc is still version 2.95.2 instead of 2.95.3 as described in
Changes, but there were no compilation problems. The system is working
okay, but I don't know, what the error wants to say. As of signal(7),
signal 17 means SIGCHLD, but what child has died?
