A shell script would sort this out for you, but without details of the
tasks, I couldn't write one for you.
Basically, your shell script looks like this:
1. The following line at the top of the script:
#!/bin/bash
2. The commands to be run, one per line, in the order they are to be
run.
So, for example, if I need to...
1. Change to the temporaries directory.
cd /tmp
2. Remove anything therein with 'AntiVirus' at the start of its name
(as a security measure):
rm -f AntiVirus*
3. Run a virus scanner called `AntiVirus`:
AntiVirus
...I would set up the following batch file:
#!/bin/bash
cd /tmp
rm -f AntiVirus*
AntiVirus
It's literally as simple as that.
