[CFT][PATCH] ext2 directories in pagecache

From: Alexander Viro (viro@math.psu.edu)

New variant of ext2 patch is available. Patch is against -test9
and -test10-pre1 and it lives on ftp.math.psu.edu/pub/viro/ext2-patch-9e.gz
Interface between namei.c and dir.c remains the same, dir.c got
serious cleanup compared to the previous version. Handling of records with
wrong length had been fixed (both the previous variant of patch and the
main tree are oopsable if directory block is screwed; this one should be
OK in that respect).
It works here, but any help with testing is more than welcome. Just
keep backups - it's ext2, after all. It shouldn't screw the things up too
badly, but... Murphy is watching us, as always.
Caching of directory offsets in dentries is still not merged. Well,
it is, but it needs more cleanups, so it will go in the next version of
patch.
I consider this variant as late alpha. Please, help with testing -
bug/success reports and comments on the code are more than welcome.
                                                        Cheers,
                                                                Al
