I don't get your objection, sorry. In what respect was I saying anything
about where the layer of abstraction and interfacing was sited?
I was saying that both Eric and Linus were after more code getting
shared behind well-defined interfaces, no matter where the actual
cut-through is made, they were just stressing things differently.
