Hi,

I have a question concerning the buffer cache. Suppose I read data from
a file into a local variable and change it. What happen whe I read it
again? Does linux read from the file or from the buffer cache?

example:
...
read(fd, buf, buf_size);
for (i = 0; i < buf_size; i += 512)
  buf[i] &= 1;
...
read(fd, buf, buf_size); /* where does I read from? */
...

Regards Kay
