Well, that'd be fine if it actually worked!
On one of my systems (2.3.99-pre9) the console still blanks and I have to
find a keyboard to get the damn thing to unblank the screen.
(Yes, I can go fix it myself, but I've got better things to do -- things I'm
paid to do.)
