SCSI problems

Greetings,

I have a file server running Linux RedHat 6.1 (kernel 2.2.12) and it had been stable for a few months now (uptime was about 100 days). However, a few days ago the server locked up and started printing a number of error messages like this one:

scsi: abort command due to timeout

I would greatly appreciate any help as to why this is happening, and what it is going on. Debug information is included below.
