It was one because the BLIST_GHOST stuff was a hack from the
beginning and relied on a static list of DVD-RAM drives. That
meant that this list had to be updated every time a new drive
showed up... Just try writing to /dev/sr* now, it should work.
And check you kernel log, something like this should show up
when booting / loading sr_mod:

kernel: sr0: scsi3-mmc drive: 0x/0x dvd-ram cd/rw xa/form2 cdda tray
