Severe data corruption (test1 and test1-ac10): kernel don't like /var

Hi!

Last night my linux boxex lose an whole partitions.

Because my poorly choosen linux partition size, I was moving the /var
directory to an other partition (mount point /sys3, existing partition /
and /local).

Than the problem arise:

It seem that kernel don't like /var as mountable partition. It hangs
terminal every time a try to mount /sys3.

After updating kernel test1-ac10, rebooting (as linux single) and fsck the
/var partion, I found that I lose all data (it was really in /lost+found.
Then I put some stuff in /var->/sys3/var and i found this strange thing:

$ cd /sys3 # OK
$ ls
lost+found foo # where is var
$ cd var
$ ls # I found var

/sys3/var exist but not shown!

I think that there are problem with /var/shm (it is mounted before I can
mount /var partition). This hide and corrupt /var partition.

I don't have writen information, because my mind was occupated to restore
the file. (and /var didn't wark, so no log). For more information, you can
also contact me in the next hours in #kernelnewbies as 'cate'.
