And I suppose when you were a newbie user you read the documentation.

Sorry, people assume (and rightfully want) to be able to go forward and backward
not just for trying out new stuff but for the security of being able to revert
to a previous configuration if they hit problems.

If your 10Gb oracle database suddenely starts failing on 2.4.1 you are going to
want to go back to 2.2.16 promptly without barriers.
