If so you may try attached patch. It's backport of most significant
change in via driver from 2.2.X to 2.4.X.
It *may* fix the problem, but don't have to (it probably will if you have
idebus!=33/37).

Patch is against kernel 2.2.16-pre7 with IDE patch applied.
