Then may I ask why such an important bugfix was never submitted
to Linus?

I don't mind you keeping around a big patch like classzone, but
it sure would be nice if small parts from it (like bugfixes)
would be submitted to Linus and the list...

[I'm currently digging through classzone to try and find the
"good bits" (stuff that Linus can accept and that will improve
performance) and have a hard time separating stuff out...]
