Great. I didn't follow the 'first compile, then post patch' principle,
and of course there is a typo in the patch. ;-)
This one is better (chanel->channel)

Note that I didn't check that it actually works, the computer with
ali chipset that I have access to is a semi-production machine which
I can't easily reboot.
