oops in kernen 2.2.14 with gpm

szenario: ssh to my LAN servers - did ldconfig - several symlinks broken -
scrolled up - used mouse to copy the ldconfig output -> kernel panic (the
first time i tried) - oops (the second time after the reboot)

after the oops i tried, because my other consoles seemed to work, to copy
the oops output to a file but then the givem console screwed up as well.
(the command i entered oopsd) (netscape, pico dmesg ...etc)
