Maybe I'm dumb, but it didn't seem to be trivial to setup my system
with a single Xserver managing two VTs such that:
- the two VTs have different resolution/depth.
- the VTs are individually managed by XDM so that I can log into
  the 1800x1440x8 while my friend can be logged into the 1600x1200x16.

Admittedly, I haven't tried very hard, since the "just run two servers"
option was so dead simple (just add a line in /etc/X11/xdm/Xservers).
