Hi alltogether,
I get the following error messages after about an hour uptime and heavy
load
on the machine:
May 17 10:21:12 anette kernel: NETDEV WATCHDOG: eth0: transmit timed out
May 17 10:21:12 anette kernel: eth0: transmit timed out, tx_status 00
status e68
May 17 10:21:12 anette kernel: eth0: Interrupt posted but not delivered
-- IRQ b
May 17 10:21:12 anette kernel: eth0: Resetting the Tx ring pointer.
The machine is a Dual Pentium III 600 server with an 3Com 3C905B
Ethernet Card
and 2 ATM NICs. When these error messages apear the network connection
is
really slow!! but the machine is still running and reachable. These
messages
then appear every few seconds.
Kernel is 2.3.99-pre8 (with atm-tools 0.77)
Ethernet Driver is compiled into the kernel.
Average network load is about 2-3Mbit/s on the Ethernet Card.
lspci -vv shows the following for the card:

The server is running stable under 2.2.14 kernel.
Any help appriciated
