Kernel 2.3.99-pre8 don't work Properly on PowerPC (740...823..)

I've tried linux 2.3.99-pre8 on my PowerPC 740, but this kernel don't work
properly, I can't start a lot of programs the, software lock. The MMU code
related to task is probably broken in this release. (Some older kernel
seem to work properly..)

Linux 2.3.99-pre8 can't launch any program on a PPC823 box, the kernel
start properly but nothing happen when the partition is mounted... This bug
is old and not fixed at this time.

If you experiment similar problems.
