I once proposed two lists too, one for 2.2 and another for 2.3. Or,
more generically, for 'released' and 'development'. I personally
need data on 2.2 more than 2.3 since I'm developing code for systems
that we ship with Linux today. The 2.3 discussion consumes most of
the list bandwidth and it is not relevant to maintenance of released
kernels...
Unfortunately, there was a resounding lack of interest in my proposal.
