Hi,
I am able to trigger this Oops by starting a program called newsplex. Its a caching
newserver that lets you take articals from any group from any server that has them. It
consolidates all the images of the a given group into one consistant image of the group.
In any case booting, login as a non root user, starting newsplex and waiting, usually
no more than an hour will trigger the opps. If I do not run news plex it stays up...

a K6 III 400. The kernel is built from:

on a debian 'frozen potato' system.
