I just tested: RH 6.1 is fine. I was wrong here (did my tests some
time before probably on RH 6.0)
TurboLinux fails with root partition given the LABEL during fsck with:
Checking root filesystems.
Parallelizing fsck version 1.18 (11-Nov-1999)
[/sbin/fsck.ext2 -- /] fsck.ext2 -a -C0 LABEL=root
fsck.ext2: No such file or directory while trying to open LABEL=root
(null):
The superblock could not be read or does not describe a correct ext2
For other partitions it is fine also. TL apparently does not mount the
/proc filesystem before checking the root fs.
Greetings
Christoph
