Hello

under both 2.2.14 and 2.3.99-pre6, the output of /proc/bus/pci/devices
is as follows:

ie, clearly showing a realtek 8139 network card (10ec8139) device on
IRQ9;

yet, under 2.3.99-pre6, it is not listed in /proc/pci
but under 2.2.14 it is - along with a syslog message about using
obsolete /proc/pci

Is this a cause for concern, due to 2.2's opinion on the obsoleteness of
/proc/pci ?

snippet from my .config, if it helps:
===
CONFIG_PCI=y
# CONFIG_PCI_GOBIOS is not set
# CONFIG_PCI_GODIRECT is not set
CONFIG_PCI_GOANY=y
CONFIG_PCI_BIOS=y
CONFIG_PCI_DIRECT=y
CONFIG_PCI_NAMES=y
# CONFIG_MCA is not set
# CONFIG_HOTPLUG is not set
# CONFIG_PCMCIA is not set
===

Thanks In Advance
