My patch is not to check if it's true but my patch is the _better_ fix (if
it works right at least ;), I've not yet had a chance to test it).
The serial proc read without the rewrite will overflow the page as soon as
somebody will changes a #define. Also the old code is very slower since it
re-does all the job for each read. There's no point to provide perfect
lseek semantics there.
