I'm using gcc 2.95.2 and have devfs compiled in, here's my results
(paraphrasing):
VFS mounted root R/O etc
Unable to handle...
EIP is c01334cb which is in the middle of do_mount. The following call trace
of relevance:
1) init
2) devfs_buf_size (spent lots of time jumping around in here)
3) do_sys_mount
4) devfs_buf_size again
5) crash in do_mount
