Okay... I just checked my system. /dev/tty is (5,0), and /dev/tty0 is
(4,0). Other /dev/tty* nodes are (4, X).

/dev/tty and /dev/tty0 are the current virtual console. /dev/tty1 is the
first, /dev/tty2 is the second, etc.

I'm using RedHat 6.1
