 I actually have a pair of systems, same problem on both, standard redhat
kernels work just fine. I've also just tried 2.3.1 and that boots and
works for a short while before keeling over with a VM error. Something
alnog the lines of VM: process cp terminated. System then hung. At the
time the only thing running was a large copy from an nfs server to local disc.
So it looks like something has changed in the processor initialisation code
between 2.3.99pre1 and pre3..
