The scanbus works ok :

bash-2.03# cdrecord -scanbus
Cdrecord release 1.8a30 Copyright (C) 1995-1999 Jörg Schilling
Using libscg version 'schily-0.1'
scsibus0:
        0,0,0 0) 'MEMOREX ' 'CD-RW4224 ' '1.37' Removable CD-ROM
        0,1,0 1) *
        0,2,0 2) *
        0,3,0 3) *
        0,4,0 4) *
        0,5,0 5) *
        0,6,0 6) *
        0,7,0 7) *

On the other hand the recording aborts with a moronic message :

bash-2.03# cdrecord -v speed=4 dev=0,0,0 -data image1.raw
Cdrecord release 1.8a30 Copyright (C) 1995-1999 Jörg Schilling
TOC Type: 1 = CD-ROM
cdrecord: Paramètre invalide. shmget failed

Exact same results with xdroast

I have 2 IDE drives
8.4G has Caldera Linux, winblows 98 and Drdos
14.4G drive has Mandrake Linux 7.02 and SuSE 6.3

This problem is on SuSE 6.3 with kernel 2.3.51

I have only one CDROM as master (would be hdc if IDE). The
ide-scsi works ok, the drive is recognized as a scsi drive.

Note : I am not on the newsletter right now, it annoys my wife.
Thanks for anyone who can help.
