I was doing some work recently with initrd, and apparantly something's
deadlocking. It only happens when some i/o is occuring on the loopback fs.
All disk i/o stops, and pretty soon everything locks solid. Happened with
both 2.2.14 and 2.3.99-pre3, although it seemed to be more easily triggered
by 2.3.99-pre3. Btw, it was with the minix fs. CC and responses to me, I'm
not on the list right now.
