Such reports tend to be worthless.
A good report does not give a paraphrase, but the symbol-for-symbol
content of the message.
The kernel boot messages tell us very precisely what happens.
Throwing that information away and subsequently wondering
what could be wrong is no use.

Last time I had the same happen to me I tried SuSE 6.3 and all was fine.
