Hi!
I have a problem with my new hdd [Seagate Baracuda (ST328040A, 27199MB
w/512kB Cache, CHS=3467/255/63)]!
The DMA mode doesn´t work.
"hdparm -d 1 /dev/hda" to enable it
"hdparm -t /dev/hda" to test it =>
-----------
hda: dma_intr: status=0x51 { DriveReady SeekComplete Error }
hda: dma_intr: error=0x84 { DriveStatusError BadCRC }
hda: dma_intr: status=0x51 { DriveReady SeekComplete Error }
hda: dma_intr: error=0x84 { DriveStatusError BadCRC }
hda: dma_intr: status=0x51 { DriveReady SeekComplete Error }
hda: dma_intr: error=0x84 { DriveStatusError BadCRC }
hda: dma_intr: status=0x51 { DriveReady SeekComplete Error }

DMA works with my second hdd (FUJITSU MPB3043ATU E, 4125MB w/0kB Cache,
CHS=8940/15/63, UDMA).
System:
SuSE 6.3 / Kernel 2.2.14
I hope someone is able to help me :-).
thank you
