Hello,

I know much is going on right now, but i want report that i get an:

ld -m elf_i386 -r -o kernel.o i386_ksyms.o mtrr.o process.o semaphore.o signal.o entry.o traps.o irq.o vm86.o ptrace.o i8259.o ioport.o ldt.o setup.o time.o sys_i386.o pci-dma.o pci-i386.o pci-pc.o apic.o io_apic.o mpparse.o

   -c -o init_task.o init_task.c

make: *** [_dir_arch/i386/kernel] Error 2
(tty1) 8:41am 2 root@sjoerd:/usr/src/linux #

Kernel src 2.3.47-6, with almost everything enabled, and if possible as
module. I had to disable "ATM pseudo-scheduler" (compile error on NET_BH or
something), and bridge-ing won't compile when enabled, and i didn't get
zo far to try to compile it as module.

compiler: gcc version egcs-2.91.66 19990314/Linux (egcs-1.1.2 release)
distribution: suse 6.3 (with latest updates)

I don't know exactly where this started but 2.3.43 of 2.3.44 where my last
successfull kernels.

If needed i can send additional info (of course).

PS, no complains, just happy nice features like LVM etc seem to make it in
2.4 :)

Thanks for your time
