sr doesn't print full sense info, so it's a bit hard to know
exactly what's going on here. But my guess is that this DVD is
encrypted -- and to my knowledge the Toshiba W1101 and W1111
do not support the authentication process.

Are the other DVD's unencrypted?

No, when a DVD has scrambled blocks the drive will refuse to read
them without proper authentication. And with your drive, your
basically screwed.
