Turns out the problem was in memory timings. Disabling
"Sustained 3T write" fixed it (enabled by default on the
board; interesting...). I assume this stretches out a memory
cycle to avoid adding in another one.

Perfectly happy now. Sorry to trouble you, and thanks for
