Are you joking ???? You are trying 2.3.*9* ??? NOW ??? Huh. What in the world...

Ok. Ok. Back to the point. FAT support was broken in 2.3.9 if I recall
correctly -- that's why it can not be used :-)

Next time please use more current version of kernel... 2.3.40 or something.
It's DEVELOPMENT kernel. No one is interested in old development kernels bugs.
