make -j dep fails here (2.2.14 + openwall patch + reiserfs 3.5.16):

emma@emma1:/usr/src/linux > time ( make -j 5 dep && make -j 5 bzImage && make -j 5 modules )
gcc -Wall -Wstrict-prototypes -O2 -fomit-frame-pointer -o scripts/mkdep scripts/mkdep.c
make[1]: Entering directory `/usr/src/linux-2.2.14-rfs-ow1-b/arch/i386/boot'
make[1]: Nothing to be done for `dep'.
make[1]: Leaving directory `/usr/src/linux-2.2.14-rfs-ow1-b/arch/i386/boot'
make: *** No rule to make target `/usr/src/linux/include/linux/modversions.h', needed by `dep'. Stop.

There seems to be some race when using parallel build.
