You just connect to your ISP's ftp site, (so that it is the nearest of
you...) and download a quiet big file : with mc for example. And then
you'll get the rate... :) (don't know other way)

"World Domination" and "Really Good OS" are closely related,
assuming you like hardware support and open protocols.
