It varies by card. The cheap cards sometimes top at 64K/T1. The high end
cards go to T3 speeds. One of the T3 cards is a tulip chip - same as your
100Mbit ether (note twice T3 speed, not a PC challenge)

Yes. Once you hit 4x100Mbit you are on the limit probably. PC's are not
good GigE routers
