Need help against hackers!

Today when I do "last -20" after my login, I saw that my computer
was hacked with ftp connection from two different sites. My computer
doesn't allow "anonymous" as ftp user --- HOW CAN THEY DO THIS?

Now I disable ftp port, but I want to configure ssd to be disable
after 3 failed attempt in 5 minutes for one half an hour.Could anyone
help me?
