Hello,

I have a question concerning the usage of two identical ethernet
cards in one box. In this case, it's a firewall which will have one
interface to the LAN and one to the internet (a setup which I'm sure
is extremely common).

The problem is; how do we differentiate the two cards? I know that you
can use the eth0=... and eth1=... LILO parameters (I'll have to read up
on the exact syntax) if autodetection won't work, but how do we determine
which interface corresponds to which physical card? Is it simply a matter
of which PCI slot they're in?

Any pointers would be much appreciated.

Thanks!
